English Department Students Association, again, will hold great competitions among the students in Yogyakarta. As what written above, the competition will present speech and writing competitions. The competitions will be divided into 2 parts. First, speech and short story writing competition addresses to the high school students in Yogyakarta and its surrounds. Second, essay writing addresses to the university students in Yogyakarta and its surrounds. On April 8, 2013, EDSA’s 2nd division held their program, KARED (Kajian Rutin EDSA), on 2nd floor of PKM FBS UNY. Almost all staff from each division (first division up to fifth division) came to this event (which was started at 3PM), to get the presentation delivered by Farindo Reska Jenar, (2009 class year) who was a vice chief of EDSA 2011 back then. The MC of KARED was Novi (EDSA 2013). Mr. Jenar, who is popularly called as Mas Kidjing, gave the presentation about Management of Production . He explained many things that need to be prepared in making an event, such as the committee and how to make the committe itself—in which the recruitment was needed. The matrix of an event was also important since it provided a system in an organization and showed the objectives that need to be reached. Hari Selasa, 19 Maret 2013 EDSA FBS UNY kedatangan tamu yang berasal dari IKIP PGRI Banyuwangi. Mereka datang untuk studi banding terhadap sistem perkuliahan dan mengenai organisasi EDSA sendiri di UNY. Mereka yang datang adalah mahasiswa semester 6 IKIP PGRI Banyuwangi dari kelas A dan B. Banyak sekali kegiatan yang dilakukan selama sehari itu. Pembukaan dimulai dengan adanya perkenalan mengenai FBS UNY, serta prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris tentunya, dan juga perkenalan dari IKIP PGRI Banyuwangi. Mereka kemudian digiring untuk masuk pada inti acara serta sesi tanya jawab. Inti acara tersebut adalah seminar mengenai menjadi MC dan bagaimana menyampaikan pidato dengan baik. Dialog Jurusan 2013 "Choosing major of study, one step for the brighter future." On March 21 st 2013 , the 3 rd floor of PLA was crowd of at least 67 students who wan ted to join the EDSA’s event ”Dialog Jurusan”. Even though they should leave their classes, they still look ed enthusiastically to get much information and knowledge which w ould be very useful for their study.  This event was the first HRDD’s program of the year which ha d been arranged by new member of EDSA.
