From EDSA, with love. . . .

Hello, fellas! Don't you ever think that time goes fast, do you? Well, actually it does. :D

We are now in the middle of the even semester. How was your mid term,anyway? Is it good or....? It must be good, I guess. No matter your midterm mark is, however, we want to share something about, ehm....EDSA! :D

Yes, as time goes by, finally May will come soon to us. We bet you must be wondering what we will discuss here. We will tell you about what EDSA does in May. Woohoo! \m/

Many of you must have known what we will do next month. Yeah, we will have six agendas in a month. What do you think? Wondered? Well, the first agenda is the Entrepreneurship Seminar. It will be held on May, 4 2013. This agenda will be about seminar of how to create our own business. There will be two remarkable speakers who will share their experiences about entrepreneurship. They are Mr. Ferry Irawan, the owner of Mangrove Grafindo and Mr. Fika Enggar Prayogo, a pro organizer and a training provider fresh fruit supplier. This event provides a medium to grasp the  knowledge about entrepreneurship for the students of English Department, especially, and students of Yogyakarta State University, generally. FYI, for those who will take 'Kewirausahaan' as their subjects next semester, we encourage you to join this seminar. WHY? Because, you will be helped by the materials that will be delivered in the seminar to cover your course. There will be an entrepreneurship in the course and you have to create a business to be presented. So, you don't need to hesitate to register yourself on this seminar.

The second agenda is  a competition. Well, it should be 'competitions'. LOL! Speech and Writing Competitions is the next agenda after the seminar. The competitions are addressed to the high school students and the university students in Yogyakarta and its surrounds. It's great that you can compete with hundreds of people around Yogyakarta, isn't it? The competitions are divided into two competitions. They are speech and short story writing competition for the high school students and essay writing competition for the university students. These competitions will be held on May 12th 2013 actually, but, the writing competition, it is started next Monday (April 22nd, 2013) to April 28th, 2013. WHY? Because there will be great prizes which will worth your efforts of joining them, for sure!

The next agenda is EDSArt. What is EDSArt? Do you read 'EDSArt' as 'EDSA' and 'Art'? Yes, we do so :D

EDSArt is a collaboration of arts performances and social activity. There will be 'An Evening with  Edsacoustic and Friends', 'Relung Laboratory', and 'Blood Donation'. Well, those events will be held started from the third week of May and will end on the end of the month. So, you won't be bored to stay in Yogya during May. There are many things to do and join, right?   Well. should we explain you about the details of the events? We guess no :P. We think you have to come and see by yourselves to know the details about the events. There, you will  meet many 'new-crush-candidates' refresh your soul, your mind, and your heart. Besides, you can also increase your social interaction by sharing each other through blood donation. :)

You may not worry of losing too much money by joining our agendas. Each of our agendas never costs expensive. They will be worth the money you spend with what you get of joining our agenda, of course. Even, there are agendas that is free. Isn't it good for students like us? "Pay less, get more" is the best jargon for EDSA's events, isn't it? You only need to pay 15K IDR for the seminar, 10K IDR for the writing competition, 50K IDR for speech competition (Pssst, for HS students you can ask your teachers to pay it :D), 10K IDR for the theatre show, and FREE for the accoustic performance and the blood donation.

The explanations above are exciting, aren't it? Finaly, we come to the last agenda of EDSA. There will be a leadership training which is addressed to the boards of EDSA. However, if there are many of you who are not the boards of EDSA, you may also join this program. Isn't it interesting to have experience with us?  This program is aimed to build leader characteristics for the boards' souls and the other people outside EDSA's board who are interested to join. This event will be held on May 25th, 2013.
