Cross Cultural Understanding 2015: Embracing Diversity
Friday, October 2, 2015 EDSA has held another stupendous agenda, Cross Cultural Understanding, which is one of the1st division (Applied English Development Division) work programs. Cross Cultural Understanding or CCU is an event in which foreigners from different countries share their culture to us Indonesian.
This year, opened by a wonderful performance from Edsacoustic, CCU invited five foreigners from five different countries that are, Australia, Japan, Libya, Mexico, and France. They presented about their culture one by one. More than one hundred participants attending this agenda admitted that they really enjoyed it. The participants also got the chance to get more up-close and personal with the foreigners in the 'Sharing' time where they were divided into five groups in which each foreigner joined in each group and shared a more detailed information about their countries. Not only did the participants gain other countries' cultural understanding but also entertained by singing performances from the foreigners, a wondrous "Nusantara" traditional dance from HIMASETA, and an amazing contemporary Gamelan performance from Gandewo.
